Muscat Endoscopy Academy Internship Program

Learn with us

A 4–12 week mentor-led internship designed for gastroenterology trainees and early-career specialists seeking to deepen their expertise in a focused area of endoscopy. Interns gain structured hands-on experience, individual mentoring, and exposure to ongoing research activities, while discovering the beauty and culture of the Sultanate of Oman.

The internship is free of charge and aims to ensure that each participant achieves a clearly defined, personalized training goal by the end of the program. Participation is self-sponsored (travel, accommodation, visa, and insurance), but applicants are encouraged to apply for national or international funding. Limited financial support from MEA may be available, subject to funding availability.

How to Apply

Interested candidates are invited to submit the following documents:

  1. A curriculum vitae (CV) including contact information and current institutional affiliation.

  2. A one-page personal statement specifying the goal and expected outcomes of the internship (clinical skill, research exposure, or procedural focus).

  3. A brief endorsement letter from the head of department or direct supervisor confirming training level and institutional support.

Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis. Selected candidates will receive a formal invitation letter outlining training objectives, rotation structure, and practical arrangements to facilitate visa and funding applications.
